panel work on accident vehicles andthen we was doing retro fit on amk kits, things like that. approximately two years lateri got the supervisors role and i done that for about three years. i was then promoted to the bodyshopcontroller which also incorporated

looking after the paint shop as well asthe bodyshop. my current position is the bodyshopmanager. a lot of my time is spent out on the road visting customers and estimatingaccident repair jobs and numerous other things obviously during the day, normal everyday managementoperations. it's a very busy department, on a monthlybasis we see between 100 and 200 vehicles a month depending on what type of work we've got. we havea very highly skilled, motivated team; that's a mixture of painters and bodytechnicians, panel beaters, a couple of

fitters, a wide variety as we say. bodyshopstaff all take an apprenticeship in level one, two, and three nvq's, city & guilds, we also give themadditional training in welding, in forklift
